A beautiful weekend unfolded at the music heart of Prince Edward Island, where everyone, including your grandmother's grandmother, had been eagerly awaiting the highly anticipated 2022 Cavendish Beach Music Festival. After two years withour our annual beloved music festival, we have been craving the kickdrums that sound like they are coming from our hearts and listening to live music while holding our new favourite beverage, "Gin Twist" crafted by The PEI Brewining Company. For many, this event is more than just a festival—it's a pilgrimage, a celebration of music that some even consider their "religion." This year's lineup was as amazing as ever, drawing music lovers from near and far with headliners that included some of the biggest names in the industry.
Before diving into the remarkable talent that graced the stage effortlessly, let's set the scene with the vibrant vibes of this year's festival. The weather played its part perfectly, offering clear skies and abundant sunshine that festival-goers cherished. On the grounds, amidst the sounds of music, you could find folks engaging with the local venders, sipping on their favorite local brews, but also the new girl in town, the Colliding Tide's "Gin Twist".
We were always on our toes, running from The Bell Stage, Kitchen Stage, and the Emerging Artist Stage, to catch our favourites, and find our new favourites.
As each evening descended, anticipation built as attendees eagerly awaited the headliners' performances, ready to be swept away by the magic of live music.
Luke Combs Sets the Tone
The festival kicked off with the infectious enthusiasm and musical prowess of none other than Luke Combs. This was Combs' first time at the festival, and it was memerable! His heartfelt lyrics resonated deeply with the crowd, setting the stage for what would be an unforgettable weekend. Hits like "She Got the Best of Me" and "Beautiful Crazy" had festival-goers on their feet, dancing and singing along with every word. Combs' performance not only warmed up the crowd but also left an indelible mark, marking the beginning of the 2022 Cavendish Beach Music Festival.
Darius Rucker Lights Up the Night
As the pink hues of dusk settled over Cavendish Beach, anticipation mounted for the crowd favourite Darius Rucker to take the stage. The crowd erupted as he launched into classics like "Wagon Wheel " and "Don't Think I Don't Think About It" his performance a testament to the essence of a country music festival. Rucker's set was captivating and the crowd danced the night away,
Dustin Lynch Closes with a Bang
On the final day, excitement peaked as fans eagerly awaited Dustin Lynch's appearance. Despite aching legs from days of dancing and singing, spirits soared as the crowd swelled in anticipation. Lynch didn't disappoint, delivering hit after hit including "Small Town Boy" "Cowboys and Angels" and a new favorite "Thinking 'Bout You." His electrifying presence brought the festival to an epic close, leaving fans exhilarated and fulfilled. As Lynch bid farewell with "Hell of a Night" the 2022 Cavendish Beach Music Festival came to an unforgettable conclusion.
