Cavendish Beach Music Festival Saturday Recap: Rain Can’t Dampen the Spirit
The much-anticipated Saturday at the Cavendish Beach Music Festival kicked off with great enthusiasm despite a few spells of rain. Attendees were treated to an eclectic mix of performances spread across three stages: the Bell Stage, the Kitchen Stage, and the RBC Music Emerging Artist Stage. Here’s a recap of the unforgettable day:
But first, the weather
Although rain intermittently fell throughout the day, it did nothing to dampen the spirits of festival-goers. Equipped with ponchos the audience remained resilient, embodying the true spirit of the festival. The performers acknowledged the weather but ensured their sets kept the energy high and the crowd engaged.
Now, starting with the Kitchen Stage
The Kitchen Stage saw Angelica Appelman starting the day at 12:15 PM. Her melodic voice set a soothing tone before Beauxmont’s 1:30 PM performance, which brought a mix of modern and traditional sounds.
Noeline Hofmann took over at 3:00 PM with her engaging set, followed by Craig Campbell at 5:00 PM, who had the crowd dancing along. The Hello Darlins at 6:45 PM offered a rich, harmonious performance that was a highlight for many, and Kyle McKearney wrapped up the Kitchen Stage performances at 8:30 PM with a high-energy show.
RBC Music Emerging Artist Stage
Over at the RBC Stage
Brad Reid kicked off the RBC Music Emerging Artist Stage at 12:15 PM with a vibrant performance. Kristen Martell followed at 1:30 PM, impressing the crowd with her vocal prowess. The Mainlanders continued the momentum at 3:00 PM, delivering an unforgettable performance.
At 5:00 PM, the Songwriters’ Circle featured Dan Davidson, Jason Benoit, Kyle McKearney, Amelia Underhill, and Lisa Richard, offering a unique blend of stories and songs. Amelia Underhill closed out the stage at 8:30 leaving the audience wanting more.
And Finally, at The Bell Stage
The Bell Stage opened with a lively performance by Shantaia at 1:00 PM, setting a high energy tone for the rest of the day. Dan Davidson followed at 2:15 PM, delivering a captivating set that had the audience singing along.
At 4:00 PM, Redferrin took the stage, maintaining the vibrant atmosphere before Cobb Lund’s 6:00 PM performance brought a mix of heartfelt lyrics and catchy tunes. As the evening approached, Hailey Whitters dazzled the crowd at 7:30 PM, leading into the headlining act of the night, Tyler Childers, who took the stage at 9:30 PM. His soulful lyrics and captivating performance were the perfect end to a fantastic lineup.
Saturday at CBMF was a testament to the power and love of live music. Despite the weather, the lineup of talented artists across the three stages provided an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
